"what if it was just a fluke???"

Hey Reader,

If you've been following along with my 25-webinars-in-a-row story, you'll recall that on my 5th live webinar, I broke my own sales record in a big way!

Here were the stats:

  • Spend: $3,529
  • Registrations: 236
  • Attended live: 45
  • Sales: 7 🥳

We went out to dinner as a family that night to celebrate, I dropped $6k on more World Cup tickets, and I increased my ad spend for the following Monday's webinar.

My coach tried to warn me:

7 live sales of a $1497 offer is UNUSUAL and to not be surprised if the following week didn't have the same results.

It didn't matter - I could not be discouraged.

Until I finished giving that next webinar and saw the results:

Only 2 sales.

  • Spend: $4,092
  • Registrations: 325
  • Attended live: 66
  • Sales: 2
  • Profit: -$1,215

MOTHER FUCKING FUCK.

How could my conversion number have dipped THAT low??? 😭

(I can now see that 2 sales is certainly better than 0, but in the moment that was completely lost on me.)

Fortunately I picked up one sale during the replay period which helped me break even, but still. 😫

You know what the hardest part was?

Not knowing why I didn't convert well on that webinar. I usually had at least an inkling of what got in the way of sales on previous Mondays, and what I could tweak to improve.

But this week I told me coach, "My performance was at least as good, if not better, than the week before."

The thought that wouldn't leave me alone was this:

"Was that one webinar where I made 7 sales a total fluke? Is this funnel destined to only break even, and not be profitable?"

I didn't know what to think or expect going into the following week's webinar.

That's the story for next week.

Talk more soon,

Claire

I'm running the same webinar every week for 25 weeks. Same offer. Same price. Paid ads driving registrations the whole way. Every week I publish what actually happened. Ad spend, cost per lead, how many registered, how many showed, how many bought. The weeks that worked and the weeks that didn't. No polished case study at the end - just the receipts as I go.

If you haven't been following my story of 25 webinars in a row, you can catch up here. Last week I shared how my own ads stopped tracking correctly (a.k.a. I messed something up) and my cost-per-webinar sign-up went from $18 → $27! 🫣 My ROI that week was in the red by about $250. Despite that result, I didn't lower my spend or change anything about my webinar deck - I knew I needed more data about whether these more expensive leads were actually better quality. So here are the stats for...

If you haven't been following my story of 25 webinars in a row, you can catch up here. On webinar #9, I hit a sales record of 9 live sales! The post-webinar replay sequence brought in another sale, AND we got our first refund request that week. (Totally normal, and I can honestly say it didn't bother me.) One change I made to the webinar for the following week: Based on answers we got to a "why didn't you buy" email campaign, I tweaked the content a bit. Here's some feedback I got from that...

Previously on The 25-Webinars-In-A-Row Story, you heard all about how I cleaned up my pitch and make 4 live sales! (Compared to how earlier webinars had gone, this was pretty great. All the details about those results can be found here.) On the morning of Monday, August 3, I started to prepare for webinar #9. But something wasn't right . . . All of a sudden, I couldn't get my slides to load. Or the Ads Manager! The minor Internet problems we'd dealt with over the weekend suddenly turned into...
